Came from Tamil Nadu to Singapore in 1949
Joined a provision store
Managed a few provision stores on lease basis
Started his own provision store in 1960 as "Selvi Stores"
Started Selvi Mills in 1976 mainly to cater the needs of Selvi Stores
Started many more business under the AKM conglomerate (Hospitality, Transport, F&B, Real Estate e.t.c) in Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu, India

Bachelors in Metallurgical Engineering @PSG Tech, Coimbatore, India
Masters in Metallurgical Engineering @IIT, Kharagpur, India
Joined BARC, Bombay as Trainee and received Homi Bhabha Award being topper of the batch
Joined the Materials Development Division, IGCAR, Kalpakam, India as Scientific Officer
Migrated to Singapore in 1995 to join Selvi Mills
Took over Selvi Mills management in 2000 under the guidance of Mr. Kasinathan
Currently managing 70+ staff at Selvi Mills
Fights fires (at work) more than a fireman with a smile
